BIO

Jo-Jo was born in London and raised in Philadelphia, PA. After studying at Penn State, Drexel, Philadelphia Community College, and Fashion Institute of Technology (in that order), she officially moved to New York City where she worked as a freelance textiles designer in the fashion industry for 8 years. She now works as a college professor teaching Photoshop and Illustrator at Parsons the New School for Design, and FIT.

She draws and writes the comics Captcha and How to Be Lolita. Blog: Information Rain. She's the author of the text books, Vector + Raster Fun with Fashion Design I and II .

Joanne has studied herbal medicine with herbalists, Susun Weed and Robin Rose Bennett and studied painting with Cora Cohen.

Joanne sings and plays bass in Kissy Juices.
